1962 Born in Fort Worth, TX
1984 B.F.A. Southwest Texas State University, San Marcos, TX
1986 M.F.A. University of California, Davis, CA

Since 1992, Michael Miller has been a professor of art at A&M Commerce, TX. Miller's signature abstraction combines a layering of bold colors, geometric forms, organic shapes and rich surface texture. Best known for his paintings, his abstractions seem to occupy an orderly composition of symbols expressed in colors which either energize or quiet the forms they define. The variety in shapes and hues create significant interest in the finished work.

Miller's work has been widely reviewed and appeared in numerous solo and group exhibitions including Michael Miller: New Paintings, Inman Gallery, TX, Michael Miller: Recent Paintings, Barry Whistler Gallery, TX, The Texas Collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston: Texas Modern and Post Modern, The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, TX, Texas Abstract, Art Pace, TX and Profiles v: Paint, The Arlington Museum of Art, TX.
