First Friday Denton features UNT CVAD student work

Core Design 3D at SCRAP DentonFirst Friday is happening November 4th here in Denton, Texas. There will be a plethora of events and happenings going on downtown, some featuring the work of our own CVAD students!

UNT Core Design
CVAD students will be showing and selling their sewn up-cycled projects (like Christa Alllan and Haylie Wilson's soft sculpture pieces pictured here) in SCRAP's gallery space, located at 420 S. Bell Avenue.
The reception is Friday, November 4th from 6-8pm.

UNT on the Square
Catch "It's Conceptual" before it closes on Saturday! The exhibition features the work of 42 CVAD students enrolled in Professional Practices, a Studio Art course. The gallery is located on the square at 109 N. Elm Street.

Greater Denton Arts Council
Our friends at GDAC are celebrating by offering complimentary admission to the "Heroes in the Making: The Art of Comic Production" exhibition. Participants can also enter to win a Super Hero Costume Contest, and may opt to stay late for a screening of Superman (1978) starring Christopher Reeve, Margot Kidder, and Gene Hackman. Popcorn and sodas will be available for purchase.
The event begins at 6pm at GDAC, located at 400 E. Hickory Street.
