Parking lot 50 to close Thurs, Dec 22nd at 5pm
Dear Faculty & Staff:
To meet the needs of our growing community the university has planned several future projects to accommodate the university's growth. This Spring semester, one of these projects requires Lot 50 closure. We understand the inconvenience that this may cause so we have made several changes to our parking conditions to provide alternative parking options to faculty and staff members that can no longer park in Lot 50 due to this change.

We recently sent out a notice to the UNT community that Lot 50 will be closed starting this upcoming spring semester.
Late Friday afternoon, December 16, 2016, working with UNT System Facilities staff, UNT Administrative Divisions, the CVAD project design team and contractor the site plan for new Art Building project was reduced, allowing a portion of the Lot 50 parking spaces to remain.
In the former release the A permit holders were to be moved to lot 49, this will no longer be the case. Those who have an 'A' permit will park in Lot 50, the lot will only have A Permit Area parking, there will be no individual reserved spaces, the lot will not be oversold.
- The new Reserved Area Lot 50 will be available to park in on January 17th, 2017.
- As we prepare for Winter Break and an upcoming construction project scheduled by the university, we ask that all vehicles that are parked in Lot 50 be removed by 5 pm this Thursday, December 22, 2016. You may park in the FS lots along Welch (33, 36, 37 and 42) vehicles may park in other lots with a valid UNT permit.
- Faculty members with Faculty & Staff permits may park in lots 37 and 36, which are located on the other side of Union Circle Garage. Beginning Spring 2017 we are converting lots 33 and 42 from Eagle lots to Faculty and Staff lots. This change provides additional parking to those who have F/S permits.
- The Highland Street Garage pass is also available for purchase for those who would like to purchase a pass for the spring semester. If you would like to purchase this pass you may stop by our office at any time during business hours and one of our customer service representatives would be happy to assist you.
