Lady Gaga Costume Contest at the DMA Late Night, Friday 21st
Calling all little monsters, put on your poker faces because we will be on the edge of glory at the Dallas Museum of Art's Late Night on Friday, July 21, with a million reasons to participate in the Lady Gaga Costume Contest inspired by the DMA’s "Iris van Herpen: Transforming Fashion" exhibition. Lady Gaga is one of the celebrities who wears pieces designed by Iris van Herpen.
Contestants must sign up at the table in the DMA Concourse between 6-6:45pm. Participants must purchase a Late Night ticket (DMA Members receive free admission, students $5), and sign-ups will be limited to the first 50 people. The costume contest will take place at 7pm in the Atrium. Anyone who comes to DMA Late Night dressed in their favorite Lady Gaga ensemble will receive half-price admission to Late Night (some special exhibition tickets will require an additional ticket).
The winner, chosen by judges, will receive a $100 gift certificate to the DMA Store and a copy of the "Iris van Herpen: Transforming Fashion" catalogue. The Top 5 as voted by our judges will be entered into a people’s choice contest on the DMA’s Instagram page (@DallasMuseumArt); voting will go live on Monday, July 24.
At 6:30pm, UNT CVAD's Fashion Design Lecturer Alisa Otto will be leading the Spotlight Tour: Transforming Fashion, where you will be able to take a closer look at the unconventional materials used by fashion designer Iris van Herpen. Meet the tour near the entrance to Iris van Herpen: Transforming Fashion exhibition.
