Scholarships and Funding

New M.F.A. students may be eligible to receive $1,000 Academic Achievement Scholarships for their first year of study. This award qualifies a student for in-state tuition rates and is renewable for a second year if the student makes satisfactory progress in his/her program during the first year. The College of Visual Arts and Design offers 13 tuition-waiver fellowships for students enrolled in terminal degree programs (Ph.D. and M.F.A.). These fellowships are supplemented by teaching assistantships or teaching fellowships. The Department of Design determines eligibility for Teaching Assistantships (TAs), Teaching Fellowships (TFs) or scholarships.
