Art supply drive for Houston art classrooms affected by Hurricane Harvey

Hurricane Harvey Art Supply Drive imageAs schools return to operation and begin to recover from Hurricane Harvey’s devastation this week, many art classrooms are now without art supplies. Sheldon ISD has reached out to us for help.

They need basic art supplies for both the elementary and high school classrooms affected by the storm.

Here is a basic list of art supplies for elementary, middle and high school art classes.

If you wish to help out, we will be collecting your donations during these upcoming CVAD Percent for Art Project events:

  • Friday, Sept 8, from 10am-6pm outside of the Union Ballroom 333
  • Saturday, Sept. 9, from 10am-2pm outside of the Union Ballroom 385
  • Monday, Sept. 11, 10am-3pm outside of the Union Ballroom 385

Additionally, we will have supply collection bins set up in CVAD outside of the AEAH office, Room 224, for supply drop offs next week only so we can send these out as soon as possible.

This effort is sponsored and facilitated by the National Art Education Association UNT Student Chapter and the Graduate Student Art Education Association.
