Professor Myra Walker, former Director and Curator of the Texas Fashion Collection in the College of Visual Arts and Design, currently teaches fashion history.  She was curator of American Brides: Inspiration and Ingenuity at the Center for Visual Arts in Denton, 2014. Walker co-organized A Decade of Design: Linda Ohrn McDaniel with the artist. In 2013, the Texas Fashion Collection presented Art and Fashion Along the Silk Road: The Joy Losee Collection at the UNT Gallery. Walker was the guest curator for the 2009 fashion exhibition Yeohlee: Design for Now at the Crow Collection of Asian Art in Dallas, Texas.  Walker also served as curator of a major fashion exhibition at the Meadows Museum of Art entitled Balenciaga and His Legacy: Haute Couture from the Texas Fashion Collection in 2007 and published a book of the same title for Yale Press, UK.
